Vitalize Peel

We are proud to offer the Vitalize Peel® at our Seattle practice. Vitalize is an effective, but gentle chemical peel that helps correct the signs of sun damage and aging. Using a combination of alpha-hydroxy, beta-hydroxy, resorcinol, and Retin-A, the Vitalize peel can take years off the face in minutes.

During a chemical peel, the Vitalize solution is applied to the entire face, or a specified area of the face. Patients feel a warm, tingling sensation as the solution penetrates the epidermis. The result is a deep exfoliation, which can correct superficial skin conditions, such as:

• Age spots
• Sun damage
• Fine lines
• Melasma
• Acne

A single treatment requires about 20 minutes, and for the most satisfying results, 3-6 separate treatments are usually recommended. Vitalize is safe for all skin types. Some skin redness will be noticeable after the peel, but most patients resume their normal activities right away. 48 hours after the procedure, some minor skin flaking can occur. Sun exposure should be limited and sunscreen (SPF 30) should be worn.
